Melbourne based jewellery designer Alicia Hannah Naomi began her career in arts, graphics and multimedia development before falling down the rabbit hole and into her own jewellery wonderland in 2006. The result is the whimsical, dark and emotive stylings of Drown jewellery, launched in March 2010.
Drown’s highly conceptual collections are more than mere adornments, designed to elicit a dialogue between the wearer and the viewer. Channeling inspirations as distant as the cosmos or as close as the road beneath our feet, Drown jewellery encourages individual interpretations by inspiring the question rather than representing the answer.
Drown jewellery has been featured in publications such as SHOP til you drop Magazine, Oyster Online, Trend Hunter Online, Fashionising.com and PULP online. In August 2010 Drown was invited to create a fourteen-piece collaborative jewellery collection for Brisbane label Subfusco’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival runway.
